5 steps to the perfect brunch

The long weekend is approaching. Yay! To celebrate, I'm making myself a 100% local brunch. Because, as we all agree, there's nothing better than a good brunch when you're off work!

Here are a few places where you can find the perfect ingredients for a colorful, tasty and local lunch! These destinations are perfect for creating an itinerary and taking a family road trip. It's like hunting for coconuts, but in an agri-food version.

1. Cold meats

Recreate the legendary egg-bacon-ham-sausage quartet at one of the region's charcuterie joints.

Au Saucisson Vaudois - Located in Sainte-Brigide-d'Iberville, Au Saucisson Vaudois offers a wide range of gluten-free charcuterie! Ham, sausage, sauerkraut and terrine, there's something for everyone.

Fritz Kaiser - Close to the U.S. border, this cheese factory boasts over 30 varieties of fine cheeses. Add a little "Douanier" or "Raclette Griffon" to your gourmet brunch.

3. Bread and pastries

How can you go wrong with freshly baked bread for toast and French toast? And while we're at it, why not indulge in some delicious pastries?
