Lake Champlain
A great time for vacationing!
Lake Champlain is an essential vacation destination, offering a variety of experiences in every season. Its soothing natural setting, open vistas, and privileged access to the water make it an ideal place to recharge, slow down, and enjoy the moment.
In spring and summer, the lake offers a wide range of water activities: kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, swimming, and boat trips. Outdoor enthusiasts can also make the most of their stay by exploring the surrounding trails, accessible on foot or by bike, which allow them to discover the area from different angles. Autumn, meanwhile, offers a particularly attractive atmosphere: spectacular colors, pleasant temperatures, and perfect opportunities to combine nature, discovery, and gourmet pleasures.
The winter season extends the offering with activities adapted to the conditions, such as snowshoeing, nature walks, or other outdoor options, depending on snow conditions and available access. For those who prefer relaxation, the destination also offers wellness experiences, including spas, treatments, and comfortable accommodations, allowing guests to combine relaxation with a quality stay.
Lake Champlain stands out for its balance between relaxation and activity, simplicity and sophistication, nature and amenities. Whether for a short getaway or an extended stay, this destination allows you to create a tailor-made itinerary, as a couple, with family, or with friends.
Being here, now, means experiencing Lake Champlain as a true place of reconnection: a flagship destination for discovering the many facets of Haut-Richelieu, at your own pace.

Explore Lake Champlain by bike with structured, accessible, and inspiring routes—perfect for a workout, a weekend getaway, or a well-planned slow travel trip.
A signature route, the Lake Champlain Bike Trail connects Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to Venise-en-Québec. Starting at Pierre-Lemoyne-D’Iberville Park (connected to La Montérégiade), you’ll ride through typical Montérégie farmland—Sainte-Anne-de-Sabrevois, Henryville, Saint-Georges-de-Clarenceville—before ending up on the shores of Missisquoi Bay. For a smooth experience, information points, drinking water, restrooms, parking, and repair stations are available at strategic locations; several accommodations also display the Bienvenue cyclistes certification.
Want a longer loop? The Vert à perte de vue circuit offers 54 km of bucolic roads through Henryville, Noyan, Saint-Georges-de-Clarenceville, and Venise-en-Québec, ending near the border. The route highlights heritage sites, villages, and scenic viewpoints, ending with a picture-perfect view of the lake.
For a complete immersion, the Countryside Exploration circuit covers more than 67 km across five municipalities. You cycle along country roads, with the American mountains as a backdrop, and take natural breaks on the shores of Lake Champlain to recharge before the final section.
For more options, check out the Haut-Richelieu road bike routes and, on the Venise-en-Québec side, the 40 cycling routes that open the door to the Eastern Townships, Brome-Missisquoi, and even the islands of Vermont.
It's up to you to choose your path: performance, discovery, or relaxation. Plan your stops (marina, terrace), then let Lake Champlain do the rest. One destination, several itineraries, and one promise: you'll return with energy and the desire to do it all again. Everything is in place for a smooth experience.
