What to do on winter weekends?
First and foremost, winter is the time to enjoy the first days of snow. Make a list of your winter weekend activities, and make the most of every moment!
A nature trail
So, for a breath of fresh air, the Venise-en-Québec Nature Park and Trail invites you to take a 2.5 km stroll through its reserve to discover its wonderful protected natural environment. This winter, you can also try your hand at ice fishing, and you don't need to bring all your own equipment; the outfitters have just what you need, with their small heated cabins, to make your day perfect.
Winter hiking
At CIME du Mont-Saint-Grégoire, the trails are open all winter long. While we realize that you've probably climbed this mountain many times, everything is here for you to enjoy a moment of zen!

The ice ring at the Centre-de-Plein-Air-Ronald-Beauregard in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu will also be back in winter 2021. With an exceptional view of the Richelieu River, you can line up a few skate strokes, surrounded by trees, music and evening lights.

Fortunately, there's no need to invest in all kinds of equipment, as many companies offer winter sports equipment rentals. All you have to do is make the necessary reservations a little in advance. This will give you the chance to try out a new sport, and eventually become a fan, or not! Flea Market Sports and Cycle LM are the two places to go for information on equipment rental, for children and for visitors.
