Spring's peak is now
If there's one thing that stands out in the Haut-Richelieu landscape in springtime, it's the orchards in bloom. Not only is the sight of blossoming trees simply sublime, but you can also enjoy picnics, family fun and local produce.

More than just flowering orchards
This May, we took advantage of a sunny afternoon to visit two of them, located just a few minutes apart. In both cases, we were able to simply stroll along.
But be sure to check the orchards' website for details of how to get in.
At Vergers Pierre Tremblay et fils, the store itself is well worth a visit. An array of local produce will inspire your taste buds. Then it's on to the roofed picnic tables.
Children can stretch their legs in modules. The enchanting setting instantly offers peace of mind and an incomparable appreciation of nature.
Vergers et cidrerie Denis Charbonneau also features pink-and-white paintings of apple trees in bloom, as well as a mini-farm, a small pond with a fountain and Mount Saint-Grégoire in the background.
You can stroll through the corridors of flowering trees, which seem to stretch on forever. You can also enjoy a meal at the Crêperie, or a meal made with products from the on-site boutique. Play modules are also available for children.

In our orchards in May, we admire the apple trees, breathe in the fresh scents of nature, taste the best the land has to offer, and take the time to have fun and enjoy the moment. This is how to make the most of spring!
Vergers du Haut-Richelieu
Of course, there are other orchards in the Haut-Richelieu region that are just as wonderful to visit in spring. Nothing beats meeting our friendly growers in their element.
