Domaines Roka is an orchard and cidery certified organic by Ecocert Canada, specializing in the production of high-quality apples and apple products. They offer fresh apples, apple juice, apple cider vinegar, and unsweetened apple sauce. The shop is open year-round and offers, among other items, raw apple juice, apple jelly, apple butter, and various apple vinegars.
The name Roka comes from the original owners, a combination of “Ro” (for Romania) and “Ka” (for Kanata, the former name of Canada), giving the company a unique identity. From the very beginning, the orchard has chosen to grow exclusively organic apples. It grows several varieties, including Empire, Spartan, McIntosh, Gala, Red Delicious, Cortland, Bancroft, Liberté, Fameuse, and Golden. This diversity allows the orchard to offer apples suitable for fresh eating as well as for cooking, baking, or processing.
Domaines Roka also offers an online store, which is a convenient way to shop from home. You can order their various apple products and have them delivered right to your door. The pick-your-own season generally runs from mid-August to early October.
