Get some fresh air! - Saint-Paul-de-l'Île-aux-Noix

Head to Refuge de l'île - Port de plaisance for a breath of fresh air! This 904,000-square-foot park is a place for relaxation and recreation. You'll find a picnic area, barbecues, a sand court, beach volleyball, two access points to the river - it's all there for you to enjoy!

Just 15 minutes north of here is the Centre de plein air L'Estacade. This magnificent site on the banks of the Richelieu River offers a multitude of aquatic activities and over 30 outdoor sporting, ecological and cultural activities.

Several cycling circuits are accessible nearby. First of all, the Vallée-des-Forts cycling route takes you to the U.S. border, via the village of Lacolle. The Découverte bucolique circuit, meanwhile, is a 50 km loop that takes you on a tour of the surrounding municipalities.

I love it!

For berry lovers, Les fraises Louis Hébert invites you to sample their strawberry products, including delectable drinks and syrups. Depending on the time of year, pick-your-own blueberries are also available.

In the municipality of Lacolle, Stefan Frick's charcuterie is the place to go for sausages, meats and cold cuts. It's time to spoil yourself!

Still in Lacolle, Le Verger aux Hirondelles is an organic flower and fruit farm. This exceptional, enchanting site is the ideal place for a stroll through fields and woodlands, flowers and tree plantations.

If you're in the mood for a gourmet stroll, take the Exploration gourmande tour, which combines wine and beer with many other local products. It's the perfect regional picnic!

I live culture!

If you're a heritage lover, your destination this time will be the municipality of Lacolle, heading south, about 15 minutes from here. With its 1812 Interpretation Centre and its historical and heritage circuit, the village will reveal all the historical secrets of the area!

You'll start by admiring the Rivière-Lacolle Blockhaus, one of the last military structures of its kind in Quebec. You'll also come across Fort Lennox. Although it is currently closed for renovation, the importance of this historic site should not be overlooked. Thanks to the content available on the ONDAGO app, discover the rich history of the island and its British fortifications.

For a more artistic experience, the Carrefour culturel de Saint-Valentin will let you admire the works of local artists. Of course, if you choose this option, a stop at Maison St-Valentin to admire or even buy antiques is a must!

I'm sailing!

The marina (Refuge de l'île) is the ideal place for water sports activities. Rental of non-motorized boats, paddleboards, single or double kayaks and canoes is available on site. To complete this perfect moment, note that Aloberge floating accommodations are located on the same site.

For the adventurous, discover the wrecks of the Richelieu River on a scuba diving trip with Le monde du silence.

In Saint-Paul-de-l'Île-aux-Noix, the Alo Richelieu organization can book a shuttle bus to take you around Île-aux-Noix to discover the Fort Lennox National Historic Site. To extend your discovery of the Richelieu River, there's nothing better than spending a night there with Flotel Inc. floating accommodations.
