Fort Lennox NHS

Fort Lennox National Historic Site is closed for the season.

Parking remains available, as do the picnic tables on the pier, which offer a view of the water. Please note that there is no drinking water or accessible restroom.

This British fort, built between 1819 and 1829, is located a few kilometers from the Canadian-American border. Its purpose was to protect the colony in case of a possible American invasion via the Richelieu River. To learn more about the history of the site, click here.
