How to choose and cook apples

Are you planning to make a compote or a tart? Or just want to sink your teeth into an apple? Well, here's your official guide to making the right choice. 

In a salad

Acidic or sweet, with a pleasant crunch, apples go equally well with lettuce or chicken salads. Here are three types of apples that will complete your salad with brio!

Cooking

If you're a dessert lover, you should know that there are many possible recipes with apples as the main ingredient. Whether in a crisp, a fritter or a pie, apples are a popular choice! The following apples are sure to satisfy the sweet tooth:

Compote

Easy to prepare and store, applesauce can be used as a side dish, dessert or ingredient. Use it to make applesauce cake, or to accompany savoury dishes such as sausage or game. Vegans can also use applesauce as an egg substitute in cake recipes.
