I sail! - Sainte-Anne-de-Sabrevois

Ryan Wharf is an Alo Richelieu stopover. What is Alo? It's the opportunity to take part in a host of nautical activities on the Richelieu River. This organization lets you book and plan your outings on the water.

This is where you can try out electric surfing with EcoSurf Canada. Or rent a zodiac and fishing rods to catch the fish.

What's more, Croisières d'Iberville docks at the end of the Ryan dock in June. Two packages departing from the Ryan dock are available for the summer season.

I love it!

You're at Ryan Wharf right now, and you can enjoy local products right next door!

At the Reid farm, a little further north, you'll find a host of fresh vegetables to prepare a snack or a feast when you get home. The bakery section also offers a gourmet break, so there's no better time to try their pumpkin cookies! Yummy!

Just an 8-minute drive south, Henryville Orchard opens its doors for apple season on August 10. U-pick, apple products such as pies, doughnuts, crisps and apple juice, and an enchanting site will charm you.

Of course, taking time out in the Haut-Richelieu also means taking a full picnic tour of the region. Near you, the Excursion gourmande is calling! Make your choice between beer or wine, and set off on a gourmet road trip.

Getting some fresh air!

Is your outdoor time at Ryan wharf going well? Have you enjoyed fishing and learning more about the local flora and fauna? It's true that the place is rejuvenating, and you should know that the surrounding area also offers other hidden treasures.

The Reid farm, a 5-minute drive away, creates an annual corn maze perfect for getting lost, laughing and rewarding yourself when you finally find your way out! A small farmhouse also awaits your children, where you can feed the animals.

Just 4 minutes south of here is the Pourki domain. An ideal place to enjoy the great outdoors, where water sports and other activities are offered in abundance. Canoeing, pedal-boating and paddle-boarding await you on the Richelieu River, while on land you'll find archery, sand volleyball and inflatable games. Something for everyone!

Do you have your bikes with you? That's perfect, because there's a cycling circuit that starts right here at Ryan Wharf. The Exploration champêtre circuit takes you on a 68-km loop through the 5 surrounding municipalities. You can plan a stopover in Venise-en-Québec and do the whole thing in 2 days, if that inspires you! Consult the cycling guide to plan your getaway.

I live culture!

Although Ryan Wharf itself is a historic site, there are other places near you where the story of our heritage is told with passion.

The Centre d'Arts de Sabrevois offers a surprisingly intimate program of events starting in September. This former church, converted into a performance hall and art gallery, located 2 km from here, is a haven of discovery for all culture lovers.

Just a stone's throw away is the Sanctuaire Saint-Anne-de-Sabrevois, offering tours of this historic site. Take a look at the Sanctuary's calendar of events, which regularly features "find-a-thon" days for flea market shoppers and evening shows. There's nothing quite like the sound of church music!

Just 5 minutes further north is the Musée Honoré-Mercier, the birthplace of Quebec's premier from 1886 to 1891. Open until August 28, it's the perfect spot for picnics and heritage photo shoots.

To complete the picture, there are three cultural circuits in the surrounding municipalities: the Saint-Georges -de Clarenceville heritage circuit, the Saint-Alexandre Church circuit and the McCullum Park historical circuit.

I'm feasting!

Enhance your Haut-Richelieu getaway by taking part in one of the many events on offer in the region. Open-air shows, art exhibitions and festivals are all on offer!
