Belles de décembre: the fashion event of the year!

Surrounded by some of Quebec's top designers, Johannais artist Jean Guillet presents Belles de décembre, a large-scale exhibition where Christmas fashion and history both charm and surprise. On view from November 30 to December 24 at Carrefour Richelieu.

Jean Guillet's bold talent goes beyond the expected. With this striking new project, the artist and professional florist sets the table for the holiday season with his Belles de décembre. Ten thematic creations, signed and designed by him using unusual materials, await the public in as many unique settings. To these are added four more Belles, this time by equally renowned Quebec designers: Marilyne Baril (MARIGOLD), Christian Chenail (MUSE), Denis Gagnon and Jean-Claude Poitras. These generous designers were given carte blanche to add their prestigious touch to the event.

To complete this exhibition, a first of its kind in the Haut-Richelieu region, the artist also worked with the Coopérative art[o] and students from the Institut Teccart world design program to create two additional Belles. In all, 16 original works are on view to the public.

The exhibition is open to the public free of charge from 11 a.m. from November 30 to December 24. It will also be possible to meet designer Jean-Claude Poitras on December 8, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and designer Marilyne Baril on December 8 and 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
