The Green Route

The Route Verte is a network of bicycle paths, including exclusive right-of-way bike lanes, paved or gravel secondary roads and shoulders, criss-crossing almost every region of Quebec.

The Route Verte route is signposted with road numbers, directions to intersections and distances to major towns. The Route Verte is financed by the Quebec government, and access is free for all. This network is one of the world's most extensive cycling itineraries, and has revolutionized bicycle touring in Quebec.
