The Christmas Market of yesteryear

In a nostalgic setting, the Marché de Noël d'antan is ready to spread its magic! Four days of festivities not to be missed on November 25, 26 and December 2, 3 at Place publique du Vieux-Saint-Jean.

Merchants, music and dance
This year, some thirty merchants from the four corners of the Montérégie region are taking part in the event. Chosen for the originality and quality of their products, they offer finds for lovers of fine alcoholic and gourmet products, as well as for all those who like to make unique discoveries created by local artisans.

Under the shelter of wooden huts, a new feature, merchants will be immersed in a themed musical universe. Performers include Les Caroles de Noël, Cercle philharmonique de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Chœur Do-Ré-Mi, Chœur Les Nénuphars, Chorus Trio and Trio Birds from Paradise. The Maureen McDonald, Denise Bonneau and Studio Movin'Up dance schools will also be on hand.

Magic train, Santa Claus and birds of prey!
And that's not all! To help create unforgettable memories, Santa Claus will be on hand every day of the market, between noon and 4 p.m., to meet well-behaved children... and mischievous little ones! Magic train rides will also be offered during the first weekend of festivities, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The second weekend will feature Joanie's Safari, with its birds of prey. Strolling entertainment will round out the four-day program, including face painting for children. All activities are free of charge.
