From September 26 to 28, 2025, Haut-Richelieu will be vibrating to the rhythm of the Journées de la culture for the 29th edition! Concerts, creative workshops, guided tours, artist encounters and unique discoveries await you. A weekend to celebrate art and heritage, with family, friends or on your own.

Activity - Workshop and fire show

Workshop/lecture on poïs & fire show with Monsieur Poï
📍 Place publique du Vieux-Saint-Jean, Rue Richelieu, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
Discover the art of poï with Quebec artist Monsieur Poï. After a workshop for youngsters aged 9 to 17, the evening culminates in an impressive show of fire, light and movement.

Discover the presbytery and church of L'Acadie
📍 L'Acadie heritage site, 1450 Ch. du Clocher, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
Explore the architecture and history of two iconic buildings, accompanied by memorable stories and anecdotes. Also discover the works of artist-sculptor Denis Gauthier on display at the presbytery.

Manu et ses livres - puppet show
Date and time: Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
📍 440, rue Bernard, Saint-Alexandre
Hosted by actress Milva, this show invites children to discover a selection of carefully chosen children's books. They'll explore stories that are both funny and captivating, in a playful, participatory atmosphere.
Accompanied by expressive, endearing puppets, they'll meet Eugène the librarian, Papouf the book-munching monster and the energetic Émotichat. These colorful characters will present their literary favorites with humor and enthusiasm.
A moment of pleasure and discovery not to be missed, presented by Manu and his books.

Architecture & photography: crossroads

Architect Marie-Ange Adousso and photographer Dominique Claire-Marie unveil their approach to projects completed between 2020 and the present day. Presentation, discussion and mini-exhibition on the art of documenting architecture in images.

Print workshop inspired by nature

Create a unique work of art by printing natural motifs (leaves, flowers, branches) on clay, then color your prints. An activity that combines creativity and a connection to nature.
