L'Acadie church and presbytery

Transport yourself back to the 19th century with a guided tour of the Acadie church and presbytery. These magnificent heritage buildings were built on the banks of the Little Montreal River following the deportation of the Acadians (1755) and their arrival on our territory 250 years ago! Continue your walking tour by going to Parc des Ancêtres to see the Grande Odyssée monument. Perhaps you'll find the names of your ancestors there? The large mural on the wall of the Napoléon Bourassa school also tells the story of the deportation and the founding of our village called L'Acadie.

Permanent exhibitions at the Presbytery Interpretation Centre: 19th-century life in the presbytery and at the Sacristy: liturgical vestments and sacred vessels. A museum to discover!
