Richelieu River

A great nautical moment!

Between the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain, the Richelieu River flows calmly through the Haut-Richelieu region. It has become an emblem of identity for the region's citizens, as well as a center of interest, especially for visitors. Both on the river and on its banks, you can enjoy a multitude of activities ranging from relaxation to fun.

A historic moment!

This year marks the grand re-opening of the Fort Lennox National Historic Site in Saint-Paul-de-l'Île-aux-Noix.

Following major restoration work, this historic landmark is getting a facelift with its brand new exhibition Passages, une île aux mille visages, highlighting the history of the island's successive occupants. Come and learn more about the families who used to live here, while enjoying this haven of peace on the banks of the Richelieu River. A perfect getaway for a family day out!

Please note: Bring your own water bottles, picnic and sun cream! No food or beverages are available on site.

Numerous marinas are available to sailors. Some of these marinas offer a range of services to ensure a fun-filled day. Notably, Marina St-Tropez and Le Nautique are true sun destinations, offering terraces, meals and a tropical atmosphere! Saint-Paul-de-L'Île-aux-Noix is the nautical capital of the Haut-Richelieu region, with the most berths in the region.
