This year, the Haut-Richelieu region is introducing several new attractions that will enhance your vacation days, spontaneous getaways, and family memories. With new outdoor experiences, evolving local spots, and expanding projects, this summer promises to be more vibrant than ever.

Here, you learn how to navigate the Richelieu River
The Richelieu River is a part of our daily lives. This summer, it’s also becoming a playground for those who dream of setting sail.
The new Voile Viavela sailing school is setting up shop at Marina Le Nautique and offering courses on dinghies, a lightweight boat that’s perfect for learning the basics of sailing. These classes will allow people of all ages to discover the joy of sailing right here in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu!
Here, we go at our own pace
Pickleball enthusiasts now have a new home base. With nine professional-grade indoor courts, Saint-Jean Pickleball lets you play twelve months a year, no matter the weather.
Over in Mont-Saint-Grégoire, Uplåcontinuesto think big. Already recognized as the largest outdoor trampoline park in North America, the site is adding new features, including an aerial lounge and an area where visitors can swing on vines. Great news for kids… and for parents who love to relive their childhood.
Le Machin Chouette is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a brand-new elevated soccer field, installed directly above its main building. Here, it’s not just hot air balloons that are taking to the skies. Even soccer games are getting in on the action.
Here, nature takes center stage, and you can explore the region on two wheels
At the foot of Mont Saint-Grégoire, the Haut-Richelieu Ecological Interpretation Centre (CIME) is opening a new multi-purpose building that will host conferences, camps, events, and corporate activities in the heart of an exceptional natural environment. Another great way to enjoy the natural riches for which our region is renowned!
Good news for cyclists: thanks to a partnership between Vélo Évasion and Vélo Conversio, it is now possible to rent a bike directly from the latter in Old Saint John.
A simple and accessible way to explore the bike paths, the Chambly Canal, downtown, or the surrounding countryside at your own pace.
Here, the best spots keep changing
This summer will also feature several new offerings from our local businesses.
La Carte Cachée is expanding its facilities to better serve fans of sports, video games, and trading cards. Le Noise is moving to a larger space to accommodate its growing clientele. Resto Belgo, having now completed its move, is embarking on a new chapter in its history.
Sports fans can also check out Chez Miller, the new sports bar located in the former La Trinquette space, while coffee lovers will be happy to hear that Café Van Houtte is returning to the Iberville–Vieux-Saint-Jean area.
Here, summer is all about being outdoors
The Park Lane Café promises a particularly lively season with its classic car shows, country nights, and numerous festive events.
In Venice-en-Québec, two new venues will also enhance the experience of spending time along Lake Champlain. Le Quai 260 and L’Ancrage will welcome their first visitors in June and offer new opportunities to enjoy the water, the sun, and the summer atmosphere for which the area is renowned.
On June 20,Idolem Yoga will also invite the public to roll out their mats at the Ronald Beauregard Outdoor Recreation Center for a free outdoor introductory session. A wonderful opportunity to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Here, we celebrate our history
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Grand Feu de Saint-Jean. To mark the occasion, the Musée du Haut-Richelieu will present a special exhibition from June 4 to October 11, offering a deeper understanding of this event that profoundly shaped the city’s development.
In Saint-Alexandre, the community will also celebrate its 175th anniversary with a special program highlighting its history and vitality, including a méchoui dinner on August 8.
Because here, tomorrow’s memories are often built on yesterday’s stories.
