Ferme Ammerlaan produces organic vegetables and grains!

Ammerlaan Farm is a certified organic farm located in Saint-Valentin, specializing in the production of organic vegetables, grains, and garlic. The former dairy farm has been successfully converted into a vegetable farm, and the permanent staff takes pride in growing healthy, high-quality produce.

Visitors can purchase garlic, garlic scapes, and black garlic, all grown on the farm’s own land. These products are a delight for garlic lovers, whether for everyday cooking or more gourmet recipes. The farm also produces other organic vegetables, such as onions and asparagus, as well as grains (wheat, corn, soybeans), which diversifies its offerings.

Ammerlaan Farm also offers pick-your-own opportunities at certain times of the year. From June to July, visitors can pick garlic scapes, then return in the fall to harvest garlic, by reservation or according to the posted schedule. This experience allows visitors to get an up-close look at the farming world in a rural setting and to talk with the farmers about their expertise.

The farm is certified organic by Ecocert Canada and is listed in the CanadaGAP directory of certified businesses, which ensures compliance with strict standards for organic farming and facility safety. It employs practices that serve as alternatives to synthetic pesticides, focusing on soil health and biodiversity. When visiting the farm, you can also see the sheep grazing, which adds to the charm of the place and illustrates the diversity of on-site agricultural activities.
