A Summer Show – Little Sunday Outings
"Les P’tites sorties du dimanche" is back this summer to offer families afternoons filled with fun, discovery, and entertainment. Presented by theSPEC du Haut-Richelieu as part of the "Un Été Show" summer program, this series of free activities—sponsored by Librairie Moderne—features a variety of shows that are sure to captivate both children and adults.
Every Sunday, starting at 3 p.m., the Place publique in Old Saint-Jean is transformed into an outdoor stage where circus performers, storytellers, musicians, clowns, puppeteers, and actors take the stage one after another. These weekly events are the perfect opportunity to enjoy some family time while discovering unique performances in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
The program kicks off on July 5 with *La Machine contre le vent*, a playful theater performance. On July 12, *Yaya au Far West* will introduce audiences to the world of the Western circus and hula hoops. On July 19, *Eau là là* promises a colorful and splashy show. On July 26, *Le rêve de Yomandé* will transport audiences into a world of fairy tales, masks, and puppets. In August, families can enjoy *Le Grand Cirque de Ryu* on August 2, *Aquaphonie* on August 9, a concert by the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Philharmonic Circle on August 16, and *Cabaret Noir et Blanc* on August 23 to bring the season to a spectacular close.
All performances are free and begin at 3 p.m. at the Place publique in Old Saint-Jean. The “P’tites sorties du dimanche” are part of the “Un Été Show” program, which brings the downtown area to life throughout the summer with a host of activities for everyone.
