First Steps Toward Culture at Trinity Estate

First Steps Toward Culture

On September 26 and 27, Domaine Trinity invites families to enjoy a festive, fun, and completely free cultural outing with “Premier pas vers la culture.” Designed specifically for children ages 0 to 5, this event offers two days filled with artistic discoveries, games, and precious moments to share with the family.

From 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., young children will be able to explore different forms of expression through activities tailored to their curiosity and imagination. Music, visual arts, theater, and dance will be featured at several exploration stations set up both inside and outside Trinity Estate. Children will be invited to move, create, listen, observe, and express themselves in a warm, colorful, and welcoming atmosphere.

The party will continue with a DJ and a dance floor where young and old alike can dance freely. Activities focused on physical and auditory expression will also allow young participants to play with movement, sound, and their creativity. Families can also enjoy arts-and-crafts stations, a photo booth to capture the day, face painting, and a motor skills course designed to encourage physical activity and exploration.

Municipal libraries will offer a reading lounge where children can take a break with books, stories, and the wonderful world of reading. For families looking for a quieter moment, an oasis of tranquility will be available at Maison Epiphany. This space will feature book browsing, storytelling, and a convenient area for breastfeeding and diaper changes.

The event will take place rain or shine. In case of rain, indoor activities will still be held so that families can still enjoy this cultural experience. We recommend bringing a picnic to extend your time at the event. Fruit and beverages will also be provided free of charge.

Organized by Famille à Cœur and the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu as part of the cultural development agreement funded by the Ministry of Culture and Communications, “First Steps Toward Culture” is a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to the arts from a very young age. It’s an inspiring family outing that celebrates creativity, play, and the joy of being together.
