Mysteries at the L’Acadie Rectory
Time has stood still at the old rectory in L’Acadie… and it seems something still lives there! 👻
To celebrate Halloween, Patrimoine L’Acadie invites you to experience “Mysteries at the Rectory,” an immersive theatrical experience where three mysterious legends come to life within the walls of this historic building.
By candlelight, let yourself be transported to another era, where time seems to have stood still and the stories of the past refuse to fade away. Amid mysteries, legends, and the atmosphere of days gone by, discover the rectory in a whole new light!
A theatrical experience for young and old alike—whether you’re with family, friends, or simply curious to discover the mysterious stories of our region.
A place steeped in history 🏛️
The Sainte-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie rectory, built in 1821 near the church erected in 1801, is a magnificent example of historic architecture.
Located in L’Acadie, the oldest parish in the Haut-Richelieu region, this building once played an important role in village life. It was much more than just the priest’s residence; it also served as a gathering place and even housed a boys’ school.
Now restored and designated a historic building, the rectory has retained its old-world charm. This Halloween event is a unique opportunity to discover this little gem of our heritage in a completely different setting!
