Culture days

As part of Culture Days, a diverse program of events open to everyone is being offered throughout the region, highlighting local history, the arts, and local expertise.

The Musée du Haut-Richelieu is hosting several events, including a lecture on Joséphine Marchand and Raoul Dandurand, led by historians Michèle Stanton-Jean and Marie Lavigne, on September 25. A themed guided tour focusing on the tea ritual is also available on September 26, as well as a nature-inspired clay printing workshop on September 27 and 28.

The City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is hosting a poï workshop and performance for young people ages 9 to 17 on the evening of September 26 at the Vieux-Saint-Jean public square. This event offers an opportunity to learn about this circus art form before enjoying a dynamic performance.

As for Patrimoine L’Acadie, the rectory will be open to the public from September 26 to 28. Visitors will be able to view wood carvings, a heritage exhibition, and a digital installation highlighting local history.

The Iberville Farmers’ Circle invites the public to an open house on September 27, featuring a sale and craft demonstrations showcasing traditional skills.

Art[o] is hosting a poetry reading with Raoul Duguay on September 28, in an intimate setting surrounded by his artwork.

Finally, the Ballet du Haut-Richelieu opens its doors on September 28, offering free classes for children and adults, giving everyone the chance to discover or rediscover dance.

This diverse program offers a unique opportunity to celebrate culture in all its forms, in a warm and inspiring atmosphere.
