Conference on the Provincial Baseball League

⚾ In the early 1900s, it’s said that baseball was one of the favorite summer sports of the people of Saint-Jean. It’s a passion that’s still very much alive here, where professional baseball was also played!

Rediscover this golden age of baseball at a lecture presented by the Musée du Haut-Richelieu and the SPEC.

After more than 25 years of research into the history of baseball in Quebec, Christian Trudeau will take you on a journey through the highlights, anecdotes, and archival footage of the Provincial Baseball League.

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu was, in fact, active in this league at various times between the 1930s and the 1950s. The conference will focus in particular on the highly competitive teams that represented Saint-Jean from 1947 to 1955.

A wonderful opportunity to revisit a memorable era in our local sports history!
