Founded in 1946, the Société nationale des Québécois Richelieu-Saint-Laurent's mission is to be the essential crossroads for people from all walks of life dedicated to defending and promoting the Quebec nation. Active and detached from any political party, it develops and nurtures pride in identifying with the Quebec people by protecting the French language and prescribing its use, supporting and promoting Quebec culture, perpetuating collective memory and fostering heritage preservation.

At the same time, it supports and promotes the various forms of Québec culture, from the arts and traditions to cultural events. The organization also strives to perpetuate collective memory, by preserving the history and testimonies of the past that shape the Québec identity.

As part of its activities, the company offers a variety of services that promote community development and solidarity. These services include cultural events, intercultural activities and social networking opportunities such as café rencontres. In addition, it places particular emphasis on history and heritage, helping to keep alive the richness of Quebec's past.

Finally, the company supports local artistic production, providing a platform for creators to share their vision of Quebec culture. Through these initiatives, the Société nationale des Québécois Richelieu Saint-Laurent plays a key role in the preservation and development of the Quebec nation.
