Monument to Saint Brother André
Mont-Saint-Grégoire remembers its illustrious citizen and has reserved a special place for him. To go there on pilgrimage is to honor Brother André's origins, modest though they were. This granite monument, erected in 1945, marks the birthplace of Alfred Bessette, the famous Saint frère André ofSaint Joseph's Oratory.

“A religious of the Congregation of the Holy Cross, Saint Brother André allowed God’s grace to work within him. He encouraged people to entrust their sufferings to Saint Joseph and to seek the sacraments.
Canonized by the Catholic Church on October 17, 2010, Brother André continues to be present to those who come to the Oratory with a trusting heart.”
