Set in the lively and charming setting of Vieux-Saint-Jean, this original installation is inspired by the evening gatherings of yesteryear, where people gathered around the fire to share stories. Here, the tradition is revisited with a modern twist: a captivating soundtrack, synchronized lighting effects, and interactive narration.

With the simple push of a button, the fireplace comes alive: the flames light up, and audio clips play vibrant stories. And you're transported to another time. It recounts key episodes in local history, such as Prohibition, river trade, bootlegging, and the adventures of the famous Chambly Canal gang. It's informative, fun, and perfectly accessible, whether you're traveling alone, with your family, or on a school trip.

The Legendary Home is part of the heritage trail Les vestiges du Haut-Richelieu. This regional project connects several historic sites through the Anekdote mobile app. This initiative brings history to life and makes it accessible to all, in a flexible and engaging format.
