High summer moment!

Richelieu River and Lake Champlain

Between the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain, the Richelieu River flows calmly through the Haut-Richelieu region. Both on the river and on its banks, you can enjoy a multitude of activities, from relaxation to fun. From electric boat rides to ecosurfing and water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding, it's all possible. Why not immerse yourself in the water and make the most of it by staying in one of our floating accommodations, right on the water? During the summer season, the Richelieu River is truly the destination not to be missed! Be inspired and come sailing!

Agrotourism road trip

As the entire Haut-Richelieu is a predominantly agricultural region, it's the perfect place for road-trip picnics of local produce. Cheesemakers, charcutiers, chocolatiers, brewers and winemakers are all producers who offer you new local flavours. Here's the ideal destination this summer to discover new landscapes along the Richelieu River or Lake Champlain. Gourmet picnic tours are available in all four corners of the region, so it's up to you to choose where the road takes you. The gourmet tours are all available on the Ondago app, so check out our must-see agritourism stops.

Cyclotourism

From the edge of a woodland, to the edge of a field, or simply along the region's waterways, cycling routes are a cyclist's dream. Amateur or experienced, level doesn't matter. All will be charmed by the beauty of the landscape, which inspires them to take the time to enjoy a cycling outing. Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is the starting point for all the region's cycling trails. With more than 300 km of space dedicated to cyclists, you can't miss it this summer! The multi-purpose trail at the Canal-de-Chambly National Historic Site and the Montérégiade are ideal spots for family cycling. To plan your getaway, the new Guide du cyclotourisme is the perfect tool.
