Monument to Saint Brother André
Mont-Saint-Grégoire remembers its illustrious citizen and has reserved a special place for him. To go there on pilgrimage is to honor Brother André's origins, modest though they were. This granite monument, erected in 1945, marks the birthplace of Alfred Bessette, the famous Saint frère André ofSaint Joseph's Oratory.

"A religious of the Holy Cross Congregation, Saint Brother André let God's grace work in him. He invited people to entrust their sufferings to Saint Joseph and to have recourse to the sacraments.
Recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church on October 17, 2010, Brother André continues to be present to people who come to the Oratory with a trusting heart."
