The holiday season is just around and the region of Haut-Richelieu is preparing enthusiastically to make you live this time of year with its activities and events.
To start your purchases of local products and gifts in a warm atmosphere, you will be able to visit 4 Christmas markets. The first is at Mont-Saint-Grégoire on December 1st, as well as those of Saint-Alexandre and Venise-en- Quebec the following weekend.
The Vieux-Saint-Jean Christmas Market, meanwhile, offers a six-day market, which begins Friday, December 7, and for two weekends. While you’re shopping, children can leave their letter of greetings for Santa Claus, North Pole! There is also a host of on-site activities such as Leprechaun Hunt where both young and old will have to browse different shops to catch them all.
Events to not miss
On November 17, at 11 am, Santa Claus will arrive at Carrefour Richelieu for the happiness of toddlers and grown-up children.
On November 25 at 6 pm, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be at Lacolle train station, where you can take part in various activities and donate non-perishable food.
The following Saturday, the region offers a multitude of activities for all the family. In Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville, participate or encourage the competitors of the Santa Claus Race! For its part, Mont-Saint-Grégoire is the perfect place to take part in a torchlight walk in the heart of nature at CIME.
Then, on December 15, the majestic Nutcracker Ballet will be at the Théâtre des Deux-Rives. A brand new version of this Christmas classic, even more magical and magical that will delight young and old.
Santa Claus Parade
Le Courrier is pleased to announce the first edition of the Old Saint-Jean Parade presented by Formica and in support of the Social Pediatrics Star in the Haut-Richelieu community.
On December 1, at 1 pm, the north wind will blow to us, and Santa Claus and his friends will march on Richelieu Street. The event, which promises to be magical and enchanting, will certainly illuminate the hearts of young and old! Several companies, NPOs, theater groups, musical ensembles and dance groups will be in attendance.
